Privacy Policy

CommuteGlow ("we", "our", "us") is a smart travel and skincare companion app available at commuteglow.com. We help you leave at the right time and maintain your skin health based on live weather and traffic data.

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address via Clerk, our authentication provider.

Location data: With your browser permission, we access your GPS coordinates to fetch localised weather data. We do not store your coordinates — they are sent directly to the weather API in real time.

Route data: Origin and destination addresses you enter in the Travel Monitor are sent to the Google Maps API. We do not store your route history on our servers.

Payment information: Payments are processed entirely by Razorpay. We receive only a payment confirmation token and your plan type — we never see or store your card or UPI details.

Usage data: Standard server logs (timestamps, page visits) may be retained for up to 30 days for debugging purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

CommuteGlow integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Clerk — Authentication and user management (clerk.com/privacy)
• Razorpay — Payment processing (razorpay.com/privacy)
• Google Maps — Traffic and route data (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Open-Meteo — Free weather API; no personal data is shared
• Upstash Redis — Subscription record storage (upstash.com/trust/privacy)
• Vercel — Hosting and edge functions (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)

Your subscription record is stored in our database for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account via Clerk, your subscription record is removed within 30 days.

Push notification tokens are stored locally on your device and can be cleared by revoking notification permission in your browser settings.

We use browser local storage (not cookies) to remember your colour theme preference and skin profile choices. No tracking cookies are placed on your device. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request data deletion, contact us through commuteglow.com and we will process your request within 14 days.

CommuteGlow is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
